About
On this page you will hear the story of how we got here and what we enjoy about the hobby.

Danum Camp
This photo shows what our camp looks like at events, we do sleep in these tents.
Our tents are based on tents are drawn/sewn on the Bayeux tapestry
Although the Vikings didn't really use tents they woud have used the sails and the aws to stay over night and once they came across a village they would move in and had no need for tents. The only people that would have tents like we do have been traders that could afford to have "slaves" and animals to carry it behind them.
Sleeping wise in the moden world, they are water proof and warm and we have a great nights sleep under the stars.
Danum Mascot
Meet our very own Danum Corgi, this little chap is full of love and energy on our camp.
Corgis are an authentic 10th century breed that would have helped the Vikings and Saxons hurd cattle and sheep. They are the decendent of the Swedish Vallhound.
